Denise graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in the biological sciences with a concentration in Physiology and Anatomy. After graduation Denise migrated to Ventura County where she began to apply her degree in the pharmaceutical industry. In the year 2000 Denise was accepted to California State University Northridge, where she received her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy graduating Magma Cum Laude and at the top of her class.
After graduating, Denise joined an outpatient Orthopedic clinic in Thousand Oaks where she advanced her skill set in orthopedics’, Pediatrics, TMJ, Neurological diagnosis and Woman’s Health. In addition to working in the clinical setting Denise has gone above and beyond to help the medical community. Denise has been involved as an instructor for MS Living Well, has been a key note speaker on many occasions for the MS society, Cystic Fibrosis foundation, LA City Club TED talk, Balboa University, ARC of Ventura County and Belair/Westlake Neurological care homes.
Denise’s passion is to endlessly pursue new ways in which grow and enhance her experience to educate students aspiring to become physical therapists, doctors, chiropractors, nurses and sport medical specialists. Denise has taken over 50 continuing education courses to perfect her knowledge and application of techniques with a whole-body approach.
Denise grew up in a small town on the central coast. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 beautiful children, 2 dogs, 2 cats and fostering kittens in support of local animal services throughout the year. She also enjoys gardening, working out and playing Co-Ed soccer.
